Pastor Hargrave:
WOW!!! What an amazing sermon I heard on TV today!!! Oh, IT WAS SO EXCITING to hear someone be SOOO TRUTHFUL about when one has truly received SALVATION, and how they will truly be CHANGED if they have!!! I actually liken it to the fact that one will actually "vomit" THE GOODNESS OF ITS CONTENTS (sorry, it's crude) after having truly been changed (from salvation)!! "Witnessing" will thereby not be something one "struggles" with at all when salvation has truly struck them, for witnessing is only a mere vomiting side effect that comes from the contents of SALVATION.
We are all sinners, but if we will begin to ponder, feel, and come to grips with the possibility that it has truly had effects on not only ourselves and our loved ones, but the one who has truly loved us, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, only then will one truly be able to be in position to truly GRIEVE their sin and REPENT OF IT with a pain like no other. And only then will one be lined up to even begin to petition the holy of holies in hopes of being struck by this beautiful thing called salvation.
For even then is it still up to God, as it is only He who can measure one's repentance and the depths from which it comes and thereby grant the most beautiful gift of all, that of a sweeping hug and body engulfing force that pierces deep within one's physical form a feeling of forgiveness, love, acceptance and joy, and an experience that one cannot otherwise describe in human terms.
This happened to me 11 years ago this month, and oh how my life has never EVER EVER been the same -- and witnessing has just been a natural SIDE EFFECT of the contents of that gift I received. I drive people crazy, but it is an "incurable" illness, of which the side effect is that which I can do nothing about.
THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR BOLD MESSAGE TODAY!! I AM SO BLESSED!!!

Dr.Hargrave:
Thank you for preaching the truth, the Doctrines of Grace. I grew up in a Southern Baptist Church and found myself faced with so many questions in college about WHY I believe what I believed. As I began to dig into the Word,I realized some of the things I took as truth because my pastor or Sunday School teacher said so were,in fact, not what the Scripture said. The Holy Spirit changed my heart, and I am thankful.
Now, as a young adult in a new town,I am struggling to find a church that teaches these doctrines. The churches I have visited are more concentrated on sugar-coating the gospel so that the listener feels good about himself when he walks out the door.
You will be in my prayers as you continue to reach people and teach them the Truth. I know there are lots of folks in the SBC that want to run all Calvinists out of SBC churches, and I pray for you to remain strong in the Lord.

Dear Dr.Hargrave:
My dad forwarded me an e-mail containing your rebuttle to Dr.Vines' attack on Calvinism. I wrote to say,"thanks for your response"and for defending the doctrine of predestination. I am growing more and more concerned with this seeming Calvinist witch hunt among Southern Baotist churches. It breaks my heart.

Dr. Hargrave:
Just finished reading your response to Dr.Vines' sermon and thoroughly enjoyed it. I learned much from it. I am a fairly new pastor in the Dallas area, getting more immersed in the Doctrines of Grace. Your response showed me I have much to study, learn and grow in. I didn't get much exposure to these teachings in seminary.

Dear Pastor Roy:
I have been studying the Doctrines of Grace for a while because a close friend has been studying them, which has intrigued me to search the Word even more I drive a truck six-to-seven hours a day and enjoy listening to sermons as I drive. But I've had great difficulty finding any pastors bold enough to preach on the Doctrines. I bought R.C. Sproul's series and enjoyed it; I also listened to John Piper's series.
Then I found you on the web and thought I hit a gold mine! I have recorded your sermons and been filtering them to my pastor, who has been listening and passing them on to other pastors who are Calvinists. I am so grateful for your ministry and for allowing access to your website-especially for those of us who are hungry for the Doctrines of Grace. Our pastor is using your sermons for a Wednesday night Bible study on Calvinism.
Your teaching has been enriching us, and I can't thank you enough for your faithfulness to the Word of God and the clarity of His Truth.
